OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Diligent Urgent Care has been on the forefront of the battle against COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. While other facilities shut their doors, ours remained open and committed to servicing the community. We have been working with neighboring townships, schools, and universities to ensure testing is available to all in an effort to keep our schools, businesses, and communities safe. Here at Diligent Urgent Care we pride ourselves in our ability to adapt our practice as quickly as COVID-19 is changing our everyday life.
TYPES OF

TESTING

Saliva test

Diligent Urgent Care has partnered with Accurate Diagnostic Labs to now offer COVID19 saliva testing. Spectrum Solutions’ DNA 1000 Saliva Collection Kit is the first saliva test to receive clearance for Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA.

This quick and easy test is now being offered at our West Orange and Union City collection sites.

PCR COVID test

Reference labs use molecular tests or RT-PCR (reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction), and the sensitivity of these tests is generally above 90%, with high specificity.

Since there are over 100+ high complexity COVID-19 tests that have an EUA, it is advised to contact your laboratory provider for specific performance data.

Antibody testing

COVID-19 IgG antibody testing, also known as serology testing, checks for a type of antibody called immunoglobulin G (IgG).

If you have been exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19, your body typically produces IgG antibodies as part of the immune response to the virus.

It can take at least two weeks after exposure to develop antibodies. This type of COVID-19 test is for individuals who think they may have had COVID-19 and do not currently have symptoms.

Rapid test

ID NOW is one of the most widely-available molecular point-of-care testing technologies in use in the U.S. Since its introduction in 2014, it has been used in physicians’ offices and urgent care centers to rapidly detect influenzas A & B, strep A, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

Sofia SARS Antigen Fluorescent Immunoassay (FIA) uses advanced immunofluorescence-based lateral flow technology in a sandwich design for qualitative detection of nucleocapsid protein from SARS-CoV-2.
