Types of Covid-19 Tests Offered
Saliva Covid-19 Test
Diligent Urgent Care has partnered with Accurate Diagnostic Labs to now offer Covid-19 saliva testing. Spectrum Solutions’ DNA 1000 Saliva Collection Kit is the first saliva test to receive clearance for Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA.
PCR Covid-19 Test
Reference Labs use molecular tests or RT-PCR (reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction), and the sensitivity of these tests is generally above 90%, with high specificity.
Since there are over 100+ high complexity Covid-19 tests that have an EUA, it is advised to contact your laboratory provider for specific performance data.
Antibody Covid-19 Test
COVID19 IgG antibody testing, also known as serology testing, checks for a type of antibody called immunoglobulin G (IgG)
If you have been exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19, your body typically produces IgG antibodies as part of the immune response to the virus.
It can take at least two weeks after exposure to develop antibodies.
This type of COVID-19 test is for individuals who think they may have had COVID-19 and do not currently have symptoms.
Rapid Covid-19 Test
ID NOW is one of the most widely-available molecular point of care testing technologies in use in the U.S. Since it’s introduction in 2014, it has been used in physicians’ offices and urgent care centers to rapidly detect influenzas A & B, strep A, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
Sofia SARS Antigen Fluorescent Immunoassay (FIA) uses advanced immunofluorescence-based lateral flow technology in a sandwich design for qualitative detection of nucleocapsid protein from SARS-Cov-2.
Covid-19 Home Kit
Diligent Urgent Care has partnered with Accu Reference Labs to offer Covid-19 home testing kits. This PCR home kit includes all the necessary supplies needed to collect a nasal swab and send it back to Accu Reference Labs.
